What is the difference between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2?
- Terminal 1 handles all most international and intercontinental departures of major airlines (Lufthansa, Swiss, Austria, TAP, Air France etc..)
- Terminal 2 is a departure only terminal for most low-cost airlines (Ryanair, Vueling, Easy Jet, etc.).
The airlines operating in Terminal 2 are: Blue Air, easyJet, Norwegian, Ryanair, Transavia and Wizz Air.
Luggage pick - up at Lisbon airport
Regardless of which airline you are traveling with, all passengers arrive at Terminal 1.
Terminal 1 is also where baggage is handed over and there is also the passenger meeting & pick up point (right after customs)
How do I get to Terminal 2?
Most low-cost airlines (Ryanair, Easyjet, Transavia etc) depart from Terminal 2.
Terminal 2 (low cost airlines) is located 1 km from the main airport and there is no direct connection of terminal 2 to the subway or public buses . The subway ends at Terminal 1.
You must take the shuttle bus . The free shuttle bus from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 runs every 10 to 20 minutes from the bus stop in front of Terminal 1 (Departures). Tip: Always confirm your departure terminal before arriving at the airport.

Luggage trolleys at Lisbon Airport - The luggage trolleys are available free of charge in the departure hall, baggage claim and in the car parks .
There is inexpensive luggage storage at Lisbon Airport, which is very useful if you have checked out of your hotel but don't want to have heavy luggage around. The 24 hour rate is €3.36 for up to 10kg, €4.98 for 10-30kg and €9.87 for 30kg+. The facility is located in the arrivals' hall near the P2 car park. Luggage storage is open 24 hours.

Parking at Lisbon airport
Free short-term parking space (up to 10 minutes) is available at departure terminal 1.
If you're taking someone to the airport and are only going to be stopping briefly, consider using Kiss & Fly's free parking facility. The parking lot is directly in front of the departure hall. It can get tight at peak times. Note that Kiss & Fly is reserved for quick stops where the driver does not leave the vehicle. If you have to stop longer to say goodbye or wait, avoid fines and use airport parking facilities.
At Lisbon Airport, there are car parks with covered and uncovered spaces. The official provider is ANA Parking ; plus many others in the vicinity of the airport. Whether you want to park for a few hours or for a few weeks, you are sure to find the best solution for you from the many providers. It is best to book as far in advance as possible to ensure a safe place for your vehicle at the desired dates and times.
Is there parking at Terminal 2 ? (low cost airlines) ? As an exclusive terminal for departures only , Terminal 2 has no parking, only drop off.
Terminal 1 has several parking options, with P1 (Departures) and P2 (Arrivals) car parks being the best for those dropping someone off at Terminal 2. Then simply take the free shuttle connection at Terminal 2.

Metro at Lisbon Airport
The subway is right at the airport next to Terminal 1. It is the most convenient way to get to the city center and old town. The ride takes about 25 minutes. Trains from Lisbon Airport
If you want to continue by train, you must first take a bus or metro from the airport to the train station. There are several train stations in Lisbon , depending on the destination. The Estacao Oriente (long-distance trains) is just 2 Metro stops from the airport (take the red line). There is also a large bus station here. The high speed trains to Porto (alfa pendular) depart from here.
Taxis from Lisbon Airport
The vehicles are parked outside the terminal. Travel time to central Lisbon is 15-30 minutes, depending on the time of day. The journey costs around €12.00 - €15.00.

Return rental car at Lisbon Airport: Returns are possible at any time (24 hours). Rental cars are usually returned right next to the airport building (Terminal 1). The route is well signposted. Some rental car companies do not work directly at the airport terminal; they then often offer a transfer.
